Systemic innovation – major societal problems require comprehensive solutions

Systemic innovations are technology shifts that affect society as a whole; people’s lifestyle, industries, infrastructure and regulations. What is needed to get past all the obstacles – mentally, practically and policywise? We will take on this complex challenge with empirical examples from electric roads and biorefinery, two industries of great importance for the transition to a fossil-free society. The lecturers, Doctor of Technology Stefan Tongur and Doctor of Philosophy Fredric Bauer, will highlight challenges and opportunities for small and new companies.
